Healthcare Reform... "My Vote at Work"

Tonight our president spoke about what his plan and goals are for U.S. healthcare reform. He was very eloquent between standing ovations. I believe he is on the right track but he will find many American oppose a socialist idea of government.

People want it all they want the "American Dream" which is just that a dream. It is the dream of growing up healthy in a supportive family, getting a great education, then getting a great job or starting your own business. It is about owning land, homes, cars, and things. It is the dream of peace in a world that does not have, yet being able to waste what another would die to have.

It is a dream, but our reality is that most people my age were raised by single parents, and will never buy a home. They will never open a business, or be able to afford healthcare for themselves, their children or their parent or parents. A reality that we wage war against people who wish to deny us what we wish to waste.

A reality that rich and powerful use their influence on change to make sure this Dream continues to be a reality for them and theirs. We need to dream a new dream, we need to want less and save more. We need to help ourselves so that we can help others help themselves

Obama has this new dream and our reality in mind, I hope it is the same as my dream, I hope many others will dream will dream this new dream with us. Dream of peace and prosperity, compassion and confidence, advancement and enlightenment. The Dream of our ancestors and the dream of our planet.

Let us help same the Human Race and save the only planet we are so fortunate to have.

Prestige

Dj Donovan has produced only a handful of events this year and this was by far the best so far. The event called "Prestige" was somewhat like a late summer homecoming party for the young socialites of San Francisco. Located in the still relatively new Yoshi's on Fillmore this event seemed to exalt a sigh of relief for the production duo Donovan and Christian. Not really sure what to expect during these trying economic times of ours, Prestige proved the nay-sayers wrong.
